Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and highly toxic gas, which poses one of the greatest threats in apartments and single-family homes. The TechniSat CO Sensor 1 is factory-calibrated to trigger an alarm before symptoms of poisoning appear, giving valuable time to react and evacuate. For this reason, experts recommend installing one sensor on each floor of multi-story residential buildings.
The TechniSat CO Sensor 1 is equipped with an LCD display that shows the current carbon monoxide concentration in real time in ppm units. The sensor continuously monitors CO levels in the air and immediately alarms if dangerous values are detected. By using a precise electrochemical sensor and compliance with the PN-EN 50291-1:2018 standard, it ensures high measurement reliability and user safety.
The sensor uses an electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor, which features: high measurement stability, low susceptibility to false alarms, and long lifespan – up to 10 years of sensor operation. Additionally, digital temperature compensation is applied, ensuring accurate device performance across a wide range of conditions (-10°C to +40°C). The TechniSat CO Sensor 1 can be mounted: on the wall (using plugs or 3M tape) or placed on a dresser or bedside table. Its compact dimensions (140 × 70 × 28 mm) allow the sensor to discreetly fit into any interior – bedroom, living room, hallway, or rooms with fuel-burning appliances.
LED indicators alert for: high CO concentration, low battery level, end of device lifespan, and sensor malfunction. The sensor system self-monitors sensor functionality. The device responds in accordance with applicable standards: at 50 ppm – alarm after 60–90 minutes, at 100 ppm – alarm after 10–40 minutes, at 300 ppm – alarm within 3 minutes.
A loud sound signal ≥85dB and a flashing red LED effectively warn 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
